A Breath of Spring

IMG_2467

I was struck by the flow of these petals, as if a strong wind was playing with them on a still evening.

As a dry spring dominates the neighborhood, I hear people worry about the weather. Drought? Summer fires ahead? Bugs and pestilence?

I choose to breathe in the blooming scents surrounding me and breathe out fear, letting go of what I cannot control.
