Although the skies were not so blue, the green hills still made a beautiful backdrop to Abacela Vineyards. They grow a wide variety of grapes, and pour some pretty good wines, especially their Barrel Select Temperanillo.
The tasting room was built four years ago – it’s posh with a great bar area and upstairs wrap-around balcony. The patio offers a great view too. On Fridays they have a party with pizza baked in their wood-fired oven. Very near the Wildlife Safari – I wished I had binoculars to see if I could spy a cheetah or two.
