Dawn of Fall

Near where I work there grows a row of Dawn Redwoods. I find them startling because unlike the other redwoods, firs and conifers in the neighborhood, these graceful trees are deciduous.


Each fall when their needles turn orange I have to remind myself that they are healthy and just following Nature’s plan. Next spring bright green needles will sprout and they’ll once again look like “regular” redwoods.

The world is indeed beautiful, varied & strange…
