I moved to the rainy Northwest over twenty years ago from sunny Southern California because I was tired of hearing people say, “Put that book down and go outside and play! It’s a beautiful day!”

As a sci-fi hippie-geek, a book nerd wannabe writer, an artist and a bleeding-heart tree-hugger, I fit right in.

I figure I’ve read thousands of books by now. Perhaps it’s time I gave one (or two) back to the world. This blog is my laboratory – I will fill it with a hodge-podge of fictional bits, pics with quips and occasional explosions of muck as I find my voice.

Follow me now – later you can say “Oh yeah, I knew all about her AGES ago.”

  1. Hello Paula…

Here’s a little message from Türkiye to say “thank you”. I appreciate your recent ‘follow’, knowing how many interesting and entertaining blogs there are out there.

Blogging since June 2013, my little corner of the world tries to offer an eclectic smattering of posts, from basic amateur photography, to sharing my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day to day happenings here on our fruit farm in southern Turkey. I also throw in a few of my observations on life and lighter-hearted stuff for good measure.

You are more than welcome to have a look around, stay a while and have a trawl through my small collection. There are plenty of drop-down categories within the menu bar to help in said digging process. Of course, if you have any comments, suggestions or concerns, feel free to let me know – I’m not easily offended 🙂

Thanks again and hope you have a great day…

  4. I look forward to getting to know you better through your posts, down there in the rainy Northwest. I am an obsessed reader who could spend my life curled up with books as well. Thank you for following me and I hope you have a great evening. Happy reading and blogging, Cheryl

  5. HI Paula. Love your approach to just about everything. Photos are amazing, comments are so apt, even when you get bored you respond to the challenge. I crossed paths with you through comments on Ireland2day and thought I’d see what you are up to. I left another comment at Steve’s blog and copied your link to the refugee response in Germany and pasted it on FB. Thank you for that. Then naturally, I had to snoop into your blog and will contue to follow. ….when your feet are in the sand you don’t have to work at connecting with nature, you’re just feeling that one-ness we all have with all-that-is, great to meet you. Lookin forward to reading more.
